MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

 MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB

- Sarah Josephha Hale

Mary had a little lamb

Little lamb, little lamb

Mary had a little lamb

Its fur was white as snow.

Everywhere that Mary went

Mary went, Mary went

Everywhere that Mary went

It was sure to go.

It followed her to shool one day

School one day, school one day

It followed her to school one day

Which was against the rule.

It made the children

laugh and play

Laugh and play,

laugh and play

It made the children

laugh and play

To see a lamb at school.

And so the teacher sent it out

Sent it out, sent it out.

So the teacher sent it out

But it was stillaround.

When Mary took him near,

Took him near, took him near,

When Mary took him near,

He rested on her arm.

"Why did the lamb love Mary so?

"Mary so? Mary so?"

"Why did the lamb love Mary so?"

The little children cry:

"Oh, Mary loves the lamb so much,

Lamb so much, lamb so much,"

"Mary loves the lamb so much".

The teacher did reply.
